Back in the USA! Returning home after full time travel // 245

After 14 months of traveling full time in Europe and SE Asia, I returned back to the USA in October 2018. Since then, I’ve barely traveled, got a full time job, a car, and an apartment. Here’s my long overdue return video.

This channel isn’t dead. More videos will be coming as soon as I do something interesting enough to film! I haven’t forgotten about you all. More importantly, I’m incredibly thankful to you all. Some of you have been here since my first Workaway in France, and others have hopped in along the way, but all of your support helped me keep going.

If you have any questions about returning home after traveling full time, please put them in the comments. I didn’t want to fill this video with the struggles of returning home, but I’ll answer any questions you have.

Keep on being fearless!

Here you’ll find my honest experience of traveling the world solo on a budget!

In June 2017, I quit my job to travel around the world. Without much savings, I was destined to be a backpacking budget traveler. This is my solo travel trip around the world! All I’ve got is myself, a carry-on backpack, and determination.

Thank you for watching! 🙂

I guess the most of us are glad that we hear and see a thing from you again. But to me it seems you´re not happy with the life you´re living right now. Most of all I miss that “healthy shine” which use to surrounds you. I hope you´re not lying to yourself. I wish you all the best and lots of love.

That is super insightful, and I know what you mean. When I was traveling, I was struggling with guilt and fomo for not being home close to my family. That guilt was overshadowed by the excitement of traveling, but it was there. So, I decided to come home. Now, I’m here and I’m lucky to be able to spend so much time with my brothers and baby nephews. I’m still working on refining the list of what’s most important to me. You’re all so sweet, and I’m lucky to have such a great group of people to root for me!

You’re so cute girl. Looks like you are back at the boring life like me without adventures living vicariously through YouTubers lol.

@Fearless Jacey I totally hear that. Definitely good motivation. Work harder, work smarter, and travel. I find going to a hotel for a night when they have good deals in Manhattan or somewhere nearby calms the travel bug just a bit and to get out of my four corners. Sometimes feel like a lion in a cage just waiting to get out and explore again.

I find it more difficult to watch travel videos now because then I compare it to the dull life I’m living here, and what i could be out doing instead 😩. It motivates me to get out there again sooner, though!

Maybe full time travel is over, but I would love to see you in future travel videos. Any upcoming plans?

    • Fearless Jacey says:

No plans just yet. Maybe in the fall though! My priority right now is stabilizing my finances. If I can find a way to travel and do that at the same time, then I’ll be set! 😄

Hi and thank you! What a story you have! If I had managed to keep a bettet money situation, I’d be out traveling immediately. However, I’m not there yet.

Hello! Great to see you! Cheer up! The oceans await your return with patience. Until then…

Hi Jacey great to see your back. Get them videos off your hard drive and onto YouTube, we want to see them. Have you a drone now?
By the way longer hair really suits you….

    • Fearless Jacey says:

Haha that drone footage from Halloween was borrowed from my brother. I went through the footage I had and most of it was boring junk :/ so what’s in this video is what I kept! As soon as I do something interesting, I’ll show you. 🙂

  • Lez_wander says:

What was the best travel memory of this travel tour ? 🙂

    • Fearless Jacey says:

Ah! How do I choose that?! Hmmm…maybe sitting on top of Mt. Srd in Dubrovnik and watching the sun set? Or lying on the beach in Koh Lanta Thailand reading for a week? Or visiting old chateaus in France and having baguettes with goat cheese every day? Or exploring Romania with Arpad, the nicest person I met while traveling? Maybe I’ll have to make a highlight reel!
